All for wellness, wellness for all
Role & Overview
The BOLD conference is Mindbody’s annual conference for the wellness, fitness, and beauty industries. The conference announces their new software products, offers strategies, business insights, and inspiration for everyone in the wellness industry, whether you’re a growing brand or thriving franchise.
I worked on BOLD throughout my tenure at Mindbody, adding motion for the teams for the first three years. For my last year at Mindbody, I designed and animated everything for BOLD myself — stage design, conference videos, and keynote presentations.

Trailers + Openers
A collection of trailers and opener videos I created for BOLD throughout the years. These pieces were used to open keynotes, highlight software evolutions and to promote the conference leading up to the event.
After the opening video, the main stage session begins with an animated presentation playing behind the speaker. I built and animated the full slide deck, 96 custom slides in total. To make this possible I collabed with the production team and we landed on using Keynote for the show. Each slide was animated in After Effects, exported as ProRes, and dropped into the deck as a video set to "autoplay on click," so the speaker could trigger each one in sync with their talk.

Every segment of the show required an animated title card, animated speaker intros, and transitions between sessions — so to figure out how many assets I needed to design and animate, I broke the three-day event into segments and worked through them one at a time. I mocked up the full stage to scale in Figma, then built a process to organize all the different looks needed for each segment of the conference. Below are some process breakdowns from a few of those segments, alongside how the designs played out during the event.

After Party
Of course no conference is complete without an after party! For this I created a range of stage looks, covering the DJ set, live band, and a few other segments throughout the night, each with its own stage design and animated graphics.
